I work the way a room is actually used. Before anything is specified, we agree on what the space is for — often in three words — and every decision after that has to answer to them. The result is calm rather than busy, and personal rather than styled.
A particular focus of the studio is the musallah: prayer space designed as part of a home rather than added to the end of it. That work is done in Metro Detroit in person, and anywhere else virtually.
